ALL ABOUT CAREER PATHWAYS

Pathways are designed to help students better prepare for career opportunities that will lead to multiple postsecondary options for advanced studies and help students learn specific skills that will benefit them in both college and careers. Students will be able to use these skills in a university or college setting and/or many career fields. Pathways help students explore careers while in high school so they are capable of narrowing down potential career paths in the future. Pathways better prepare students for their future.

At Georgia Connections Academy we currently offer 13 Career Pathways and are always assessing local state needs to add additional ones. Each pathway consists of 3 courses. At the end of each pathway, you will earn an industry credential by being successful on the End of Pathway Assessment (EOPA). Industry credentials look great on your resume and will show employers proof of your knowledge and skills. Work-Based Learning,

Youth Apprenticeship or internship courses are value-added

courses and can be taken concurrently with other pathway

courses or upon pathway completion.
